BAIL APPL. 225/2026 By way of the present application filed under section 483 read with section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks extension of interim bail granted by the learned sessions court vidé order dated 07.01.2026. By that order, interim bail was granted for 01 week on the ground that the petitioner’s wife was to undergo surgery. 2. The interim bail so granted ran-out on 15.01.2026; whereafter, the petitioner moved an application before the learned sessions court This is a digitally signed order. By way of the present petition, though styled as a petition for extension of interim bail, in essence and substance, the petitioner is challenging the denial of extension of interim bail by the learned sessions court vidé order dated 16.01.2026. 4. Issue notice. 5. Mr. Shoaib Haider, learned APP appears for the State on advance copy; accepts notice; and submits that from a perusal of the record, it is clear that the petitioner has been making repeated attempts to create multiple grounds for extension of interim bail. 6. Learned APP submits, that the petitioner is accused of a very serious offence; and the court may consider his plea for extension, in that backdrop. 7. In support of the present petition, the petitioner has filed the medical records relating to his minor daughter, including a prescription from the Samarpan Multispeciality Hospital, Narela and from the Satyawadi Raja Harishchandra Hospital, Government of NCT of Delhi, Narela, Delhi. As per the prescriptions, the petitioner’s daughter is suffering from acute vomiting and hematemesis alongwith other allied symptoms. She is stated to be under medication. 8. In view of the submission made by the learned APP, and upon perusal of the record, without delving any further into the matter, the present petition is disposed-of, granting to the petitioner a further period of 07 days counted from 16.01.2026, to surrender back to custody.
