Learned counsel for the alleged contemnor states that the alleged contemnor has no authority to deal with the representation submitted by the petitioner. The issue has been recommended by the District Magistrate, South 24 Parganas and sent to the Principal Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of West Bengal for necessary action. In view of such submission made on behalf of the alleged contemnor, the Principal Secretary, Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of West Bengal, being the 1st respondent herein, is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner in terms of the order passed by this Court on 20th March, 2026 in WPA 165 of 2026 within four weeks from the date of communication of this order upon granting reasonable opportunity of hearing to all concerned including the petitioner, in accordance with law. The contempt application is disposed of.
