The present appeal under Section 19(1) of the Family Courts Act, 1984 has been filed impugning the judgment and decree dated 30.06.2023 passed by the II Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Mysuru to the extent that no alimony or maintenance has been provided by the Family Court while granting the decree of divorce on the petition filed by the appellant-wife.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the appellant and perused the material on record.
3. The grievance of the appellant is confined to the non-grant of maintenance/alimony. The appellant has an

efficacious remedy under Section 25 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, or such other provision of law, to seek appropriate relief towards maintenance/permanent alimony.
4. In view of the availability of such statutory remedy, we are of the considered view that it is not necessary for this Court to entertain this appeal upon the claim for maintenance/alimony. Accordingly, the appeal is disposed of, reserving liberty to the appellant to take recourse of the appropriate remedy as may be available to her for seeking maintenance/permanent alimony.
