1. Instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been preferred by the petitioner seeking following reliefs :- 10.1 Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call for the entire record pertaining to the instant case. 10.2 Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to allow the petition and set aside the letter dated 19.03.2026 & 27.03.2026 written by the principal to the collector and S.D.O. (revenue) in the interest of justice. 10.3 Any other relief which the Hon’ble Court deems fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that in a meeting held on 19.03.2026, Janbhigidari Committee passed a resolution not to grant permission for organizing a cricket tournament on the ground of Shaheed Durvasa Nishad Government College, Arjunda, District Balod (CG); this decision was also duly communicated to the concerned Collector. Subsequently, against the resolution passed by the Janbhagidari Committee, Principal of the said College without informing Janbhagidari Committee, wrote a letter dated 27.03.2026 (Annexure P-4) to the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Gundardehi, District Balod (C.G.) stating therein that the College has no objection to organize “night tennis Ball cricket tournament” on the ground of College, hence, he submits submits that this petition may be admitted for hearing.

In reply, learned counsel counsel for the State submits that on account of Communication (Annexure P-4) dated 27.03.2026 made by respondent No. 3 / Principal, Shaheed Durvasa Nishad Government College, Arjunda, District Balod (CG), “night tennis Ball cricket tournament” has been organized and the said Cricket match has already started from 5.4.2026 and the same shall be concluded on
11.04.2026.
4. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the material available on record.

Having considered the fact that the said cricket match has already started and three days have elapsed, this Court is not inclined to disrupt the night tennis- ball cricket tournament, which has already begun. Consequently, this Court is not inclined to entertain this petition invoking extraordinary jurisdiction of this Court. Hence, the writ petition is dismissed at the motion stage itself.
