JUSTICE D K SINGH) The present contempt petition has been filed alleging willful disobedience and non-compliance of the order dated 20.01.2023 passed on I.A.No.1/2022 in W.P.No.17577/2022 (KLR-RES). 2. Learned Additional Government Advocate has filed compliance affidavit dated 13.08.2026 in the Court today on behalf of Mr. B.N. Girish S/o Nanjappa B.N., Tahsildar, Channapatna Taluk, Channapatna, Bangalore South District. It is stated in the compliance affidavit that in the proceedings initiated under the Karnataka Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prohibition of Transfer of Certain Lands) Act, 1978, the alienation of the land made in favour of the complainant has been declared as void by the Assistant Commissioner and the appeal filed against the said order came to be dismissed by the Deputy Commissioner. It is further stated that the complainant himself has filed W.P.No.11422/2024 challenging the orders passed by the Assistant Commissioner and the Deputy - 4 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010132532023 NC: 2026:KHC:49308-DB CCC No. 256 of 2023 Commissioner and the said writ petition is pending before the writ Court. 3. In view of the aforesaid statements made in the compliance affidavit, the order dated 06.09.2022 in W.P.No.17577/2022 and also the order dated 20.01.2023 on I.A.No.1/2022 passed by the learned Single Judge cannot be complied with. We find the explanation offered in the compliance affidavit for not changing the mutation entry is justifiable and therefore, we dismiss this contempt petition.
