It is the case of the petitioner that he has made an application for issuance of the passport vide Application dated 02.06.2026 (Annexure-B to the writ petition). Learned counsel for respondent No.1 submits that the petitioner has been acquitted of the only case (CC No.1399/2017) on 01.06.2026 (Annexure-C to the writ petition) and the bail bond pertaining to the said case was required to be kept alive for a period of 60 days i.e., during the appeal period. However, as on date, since the appeal period has also expired and no appeal having been filed, the application of the petitioner dated 02.06.2026 shall be considered in accordance with the law. 4.
