JUSTICE D K SINGH) The present contempt petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the order dated 23.06.2021 passed by the learned Single Judge in W.P.No.21472/2019 (S-RES) whereby it was directed to release the terminal benefits within four months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order, failing which, he would be entitled for interest at the rate of 8% p.a. from 01.02.2019 till the date of payment. 2. The terminal benefits was paid to the complainant on 19.05.2022 and thus the complainant was entitled to receive interest at the rate of 8% on the terminal benefits from 01.02.2019 up to 19.05.2022. - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010286582023 NC: 2026:KHC:49322-DB CCC No. 536 of 2023 3. Sri Bhairav Kuttaiah, learned AGA appearing for Proforma respondent No.2 submits that interest calculated as directed by the writ Court would come to Rs.6,25,302/-. Out of the said interest amount Rs.4,86,784/- has already been paid and balance amount of Rs.1,38,526/- would be paid within a period of one month i.e., on or before 10.10.2026. 4. Considering the said submission and undertaking that balance interest amount of Rs.1,38,526/- would be paid on or before 10.10.2026, we drop this contempt petition with the hope that no application would be filed for revival of the contempt petition.
