1. By presenting this writ petition prayer is made for being informed of criminal prosecutions which are pending against petitioner. It is submitted that after declaration of result of West Bengal Assembly Election on 4th May, 2026 one after another FIRs are being registered against petitioner since petitioner was a member of Gram Panchayat.
2. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 18th August, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Jamalpur Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of communication dated 18th August, 2026 is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner.
3. It is disclosed in said communication dated 18th August, 2026 that four criminal prosecutions are pending against petitioner and all are under Jamalpur
Police Station.
4. Due to disclosure of criminal prosecutions pending against petitioner, no further order need be passed on this writ petition and same stands disposed of.
