Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been implicated only on the basis of statement of a co-accused in a case where there was alleged recovery of 817 gm brown sugar. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that the Memo of Evidence reflects that the petitioner is having criminal antecedent relating to a case under the provision of NDPS Act.
2 Having considered the antecedent of the present petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (A) 2958 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of evidence submitted be kept with the record.
