The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with the challenge to the order dated 15.10.2024 passed by the learned District Judge Jhalawar in Election Petition No. 22/2020 whereby the election petition filed by the petitioner has been dismissed. 3. By filing the present election petition, the petitioner has challenged the election of the respondent, who was elected as [2026:RJ-JP:13186] (2 of 2) [CW-1498/2025] Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Gadarvada Noorji. The respondent was elected as Sarpanch on 29.01.2020. 4. Taking into consideration that every Panchayati Raj Institution has a five-year term as per Section 17 of the Rajasthan Panchayati Raj Act, 1994, and since the tenure of the respondent elected as Sarpanch has already come to an end, no effective relief can be granted to the petitioner at this stage. 6.
