Affidavit of service and supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of petitioner are taken on record. 2. It is submitted on behalf of petitioner that private respondents are catching fish unauthorisedly from the pond of petitioner prompting the petitioner to approach this Court with the present writ petition thereby praying for direction upon the concerned police authorities to take steps which would permit the petitioner to enjoy peaceful possession over the water body in question. 3. In spite of service of notice respondent nos. 6 to 9 are not represented. However, State respondents are represented by learned advocate who has filed a communication dated 31st August, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, 2 Dhaniakhali Police Station, Hooghly and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication is made over to the learned advocate representing petitioner. 4. Considering the case made out in this writ petition Officer-in-Charge, Dhaniakhali Police Station being respondent no. 5 is directed to cause an enquiry, if necessary by calling petitioner as well as respondent nos. 6 to 9 before him to find out whether respondent nos. 6 to 9 are having right over the pond in question or not. If it is found that respondent nos. 6 to 9 do not have right over the pond in question in that event respondent no. 5 shall take steps which will restrain respondent nos. 6 to 9 to illegally catch fish from the pond of petitioner. 5.
