3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that petitioner No.4 had lodged a complaint on 05.05.2026 alleging assault against the petitioners. Learned counsel submits that respondent No.2 filed a complaint three days later, i.e., on 08.05.2026, before the K.R. Puram Police Station alleging the aforementioned offences.
4.
Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the second complaint is an afterthought and is a counterblast to the complaint filed by petitioner No.4.
5. Learned HCGP appearing for respondent No.1 would submit that, in the complaint dated 08.05.2026 filed by respondent No.2, there is a reference to the CCTV footage relating to the alleged incident.
6. Since the complaint and the counter-complaint have been filed, the Court, prima facie, is of the view that the presence of some of the persons at the scene of the offence is admitted. The question as to who is the aggressor and who is not the aggressor, and who is the victim, requires to be investigated. Digitally Signed by ANANT RAMNATH HEGDE on 11-09-2026

8. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed.
9. However, it is made clear that merely because this Court has not entertained the petition seeking to quash the complaint, the same shall not be construed as reflecting anything against the petitioners. The matter shall be investigated objectively and in accordance with law.
