JUSTICE RAJESH RAI K ORAL ORDER 1. Learned counsel for the respective parties filed a compromise petition under Section 320(1) of Cr.P.C. read with Section 359 of BNSS. 2. It is stated in the compromise petition that the parties have amicably settled the dispute and the accused - petitioner paid a sum of Rs.3,75,000/- to the respondent by way of cash today before this Court, which the respondent acknowledges, in full and final settlement of his claim. Further, the respondent agreed to withdraw the cases i.e., C.C.No.1748/2022 on the file of IV Additional Civil Judge & JMFC., Hassan and Ex.No.98/2026 on the file of Additional Civil Judge & JMFC. II Court, Hassan. Since the offence is compoundable in nature, the parties are permitted to compound the same. 3. In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties as aforesaid, the proceedings in C.C.No.1748/2022 on the file of IV Additional Civil Judge & JMFC., Hassan, for the offence - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010691722023 NC: 2026:KHC:49602 CRL.P No. 30 of 2024 punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, is hereby quashed.
