By the instant petition the petitioner is praying for the following relief: “i. Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the first information report dated 22.02.2026 being FIR No. 0030 of 2026 for the offences punishable under section 3,5, 11(1) of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Police Statio Vanbhoolpura, District Nainital, (contained as Anenxure no. 1 to this petition). ii. Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent no. 2 not to arrest the petitioner in connection with impugned first information report dated 22.02.2026 being FIR No. 0030 of 2026 for the offences punishable under section 3, 5, 11(1) of the Uttarakhand Protection of Cow Progeny Act, 2007, Police Station Vanbhoolpura, District Nainital (contained as Annexure no. 1 to this writ petition).” 4. After arguing at length learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall surrender before the court concerned on or before 27.03.2026 but taking into consideration that Ramzan are going on till then he may be protected. 5. In such view of the matter, instant writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the liberty to the petitioner to surrender before the court concerned on or before 27.03.2026. 6.
