The present contempt application has been filed against the opposite party No. 2 alleging wilful disobedience and non-compliance of the order dated 29.01.2025 passed by this Court in W.P.(C) No. 6504 of 2024. 2. Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the opposite party no. 2 refers to the order dated 31.12.2025 (Annexure-A to the show cause affidavit dated 30.01.2026) passed by the opposite party No.2 whereby the petitioner’s claim for acceptance of rent and issuance of rent receipt for the land in question has been considered and rejected. It is thus submitted that the aforesaid order of this Court has now been complied. 3. In view of the said submission, there is no need to further proceed with the matter. 2026:JHHC:2369 2 4. The contempt proceeding as against the opposite party No.2 is dropped. 5. The present contempt application stands disposed of. 6. The petitioner is however at liberty to take appropriate recourse as permissible under law against the order dated 31.12.2025 passed by the opposite party No. 2.
