1. At the time of hearing, it is submitted at the bar that CAN 1 of 2025 has become infructuous. 2. In view of such, CAN 1 of 2025 is disposed of as infructuous. In Re: WPA 15897 of 2009
3. At the time of hearing, Mr. Banerjee, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the respondent No. 7 submits before this Court that in Court, he has served a copy of the affidavit-in-opposition to the learned advocate for
2 the writ petitioner. However, the original affidavit-in- opposition which is to be filed before this Court is not traceable. He submits before this Court that he intends to file a reaffirmed affidavit-in-opposition on the next date. He prays for an adjournment. 4. Prayer for adjournment is considered and allowed. 5. On the adjourned date, the respondent No. 7 shall file reaffirmed affidavit-in-opposition. 6. The writ petitioner is at liberty to file affidavit-in-reply also on the adjourned date. 7. At this stage, learned advocate for the respondent No. 2 submits before this Court that the respondent No. 2 is the main answering respondent and accordingly, she intends to file affidavit-in-opposition against the instant writ petition. 8. Liberty is given to the respondent No. 2 to file affidavit- in-opposition also within two weeks hence. 9. Affidavit-in-reply, if there be any, is to be filed within one week thereafter. 10. Since none appears on behalf of the respondent State and its instrumentalities, this Court requests the learned advocate on record for the writ petitioner to communicate the server copy of this order to the Office
3 of the learned Government Pleader, High Court at Calcutta. 11. Learned Government Pleader, High Court at Calcutta is hereby requested to take appropriate steps for representation of the respondent State and its instrumentalities on the adjourned date. 12. Let this matter be listed in the week commencing from July 27, 2026. 13. Liberty to mention.
