R. Yanthan, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. Borthakur, learned Additional Public Prosecutor. 2. This petition under Section 483 BNSS is filed by the petitioner, namely, Mana Mahato, praying for grant of bail in connection with Krishnai P.S. Case No. 17/2026 registered u/s 318(4)/62/3(5) of BNS. Page No.# 2/3 3. He was arrested on 10/02/2026 in this case, which arose out of an FIR dated 9/02/2026 lodged by one Bidyut Raba with the allegations that when he withdrew money at SBI Krishnai Branch, 3 unidentified persons approached him to deposit Rs.1.5 lakhs that they had supposedly stolen from Dimapur and wanted to deposit the money and offered him 25% if he helped them in depositing the same. Later, after he withdrew Rs.40,000/- said person also troubled him by giving him Rs.500/- along with some pieces of white paper. 4. The learned counsel submits that the petitioner has completed 57 days in custody and the statutory period is also going to be over in the next 3-4 days. 5. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor after taking instructions from the IO submits that investigation is not yet completed. It is not disputed that the applicable statutory period is 60 days and there are several court holidays starting from the day after tomorrow. 6. In the given facts and circumstances, the accused is allowed to go on bail of Rs.50,000/- with two securities of the like amount, one of whom should be from the state of Assam subject to the following conditions that the petitioner; (i) shall not abscond. (ii) shall cooperate in remaining investigation. (iii) shall not hamper or tamper with evidence. (iv) shall be available for trial if one commences. Violation of bail conditions entails cancellation of bail. Page No.# 3/3 7. Accordingly, this bail application stands allowed and disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
