Matter is heard in presence of learned advocates representing petitioner and State respondents. 2. Grievance of the petitioner is expressed by filing this writ petition that son of the petitioner died by hanging and appropriate steps are not being taken by the concerned police authorities after registering FIR. Petitioner prays for certain directions upon the concerned police authorities which would take the investigation to its logical conclusion. 3. Learned advocate representing State respondents has filed a communication dated 6th September 2026 of Inspector-in-charge, Raiganj Police Station and same is taken on record. Copy of said communication dated 6th 2 September, 2026 is made over to learned advocate representing petitioner. 4. It is disclosed in said communication that based on written complaint one FIR was registered being Raiganj Police Station Case No. 563 of 2026 dated 6th June, 2026. It is further disclosed that place of occurrence was inspected, witnesses were examined and repeated raids were conducted. Relevant medical documents and electronic evidence were collected. Statements of witness was also recorded under Section 183 BNSS. 5. In view of steps taken by the concerned police authorities at this stage it ought not to be concluded that investigating agency is sitting idle. Investigating officer is directed to expedite investigation and take the same to its logical conclusion by submitting report before the jurisdictional Magistrate. 6. However, if petitioner finds that required steps are not being taken by the concerned police authorities in that event petitioner shall be at liberty to approach jurisdictional Magistrate under Section 175(3) BNSS 2023. 7.
