The petitioner’s prayer seeking higher scale of pay forwarded by the school to the District Inspector of Schools (SE), Hooghly is pending consideration for a considerable period of time. 3. Prayer has been made to direct the respondent authority to consider the prayer of the petitioner. 4. Without entering into the merit of the claim of the petitioner, the instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the District Inspector of Schools to consider the prayer of the petitioner for grant of higher scale of pay in accordance with law and in light of the judgment passed by the Hon’ble Special Bench of this Court on 7th February, 2024 in a batch of writ petitions, first of which was WPA 303 of 2023 (Utpal Kantai Karan –Vs State of West Bengal & Ors.) at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of communication of this order. 2 5. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the petitioner. Reasonable opportunity of hearing shall be granted to the petitioner prior to passing the final order. 6. If the prayer of the petitioner is allowed, then necessary consequential steps shall be taken without any further delay. 7. Learned advocate for the petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the representation along with all supporting documents to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court. 8. Parties to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. 9.
