Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. Learned advocate appearing for the State, on the other hand, opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and submits that petitioner was Branch Manager of a sub-Post Office. There are specific accusations relating to misappropriation and petitioner is a public servant. Having considered the materials appearing in the present case, I am of the opinion that because of criminal misconduct this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. As such, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected. The application for anticipatory bail, being CRM (A) 2924 of 2026, is, thus, dismissed.
