Poddar Mr. Amit Roy ….for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner is innocent and very recently he has come to know that there is a criminal case pending against him. State has produced the case diary and submitted that petitioner was named by the eye witnesses and the victim in the present case has sustained gunshot injury. Case was registered in the year 2019 and petitioner has been evading the process of law. 2 On an overall assessment of the circumstances both relating to the merits of the case as well as the period of time which has lapsed, I am of the view that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. As such prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner in CRM (A) 2822 of 2026 is rejected. The Investigating Officer of the case is present in Court. His further appearance before the Court is dispensed with. Memo of Evidence submitted be kept with the record. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
