Heard both the sides. This bail application has been filed on behalf of Savita Devi @ Sabita Devi who is in custody since 17.09.2025 in connection with Gumla P.S. Case No. 375 of 2023 for the offence registered under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468 471, 34 and 120B of the IPC pending in the Court of C.J.M., Gumla is pressed into motion. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that she is in judicial custody since 17.09.2025 and charge-sheet has already been submitted in this case. The allegation against this petitioner is that she misappropriated Rs. 2,45,000/- from the informant and total sum of Rs. 15,81,000/- from the members of mahila mandal which was received by the petitioner, but not deposited in the account of the Women Help Organization. It is further submitted that the matter has been amicably settled between the informant and others in pursuance of the said settlement, 50% of the said amount had already been refunded to the victims and an undertaking has been given to return rest of the amount within eight months vide settlement dated 22.01.2026. Learned A.P.P. for the State, assisted by learned counsel appearing on behalf of the informant, does not dispute the assertions made on behalf of the petitioner. Let the copy of the said settlement be kept on record. Considering the settlement between the parties, subject to the terms and conditions of settlement made by the petitioner, the above-named petitioner is 2026:JHHC:1996 directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/-(Twenty- Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
