Exception filed by the petitioner to the report filed on behalf of the WBSEDCL Authorities is taken on record. 2. The petitioner is aggrieved by the installation of a Distribution Transformer (DTR) in the vicinity of the petitioner’s landed property. 3. The petitioner submits that the position whereat the transformer has been installed obstructs the ingress to and egress from the petitioner’s landed property. 4. The respondent WBSEDCL Authorities submits that the transformer has been installed on a land owned by the Public Works Department and the same is in no way going to affect the petitioner. It is further submitted that the transformer has been installed upon taking into consideration 2 the safety aspects and the petitioner has no cause to be aggrieved. 5. Since the petitioner has not been able to demonstrate that the transformer has been installed on the petitioner’s land therefore, there is no reason for this Court to intervene at this stage. 6. However, if the petitioner feels aggrieved, the petitioner will be at liberty to approach the District Magistrate, Hooghly seeking redressal of the petitioner’s grievances. If such representation is made, the District Magistrate, Hooghly shall dispose of the same by passing a reasoned order, in accordance with law, upon giving an opportunity of hearing to all the parties within a period of twelve weeks from the date of making of such representation by the petitioner. 7. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 1482 of 2026 stands disposed of. No costs. 8. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities. (Om Narayan Rai, J.)
