ORAL ORDER Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
2. This petition is filed to quash the entire proceedings in C.C.No.1157/2022 on the file of the I Additional CJM, Bengaluru Rural, Bengaluru, in a proceeding under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, though the petitioner is a partner of the partnership firm, he is not a signatory to the cheque, which was dishonored. It is Digitally Signed by ANANT RAMNATH HEGDE on 09-09-2026

further submitted that two partners are the signatories to the said cheque, as such the complaint filed against the partnership firm and remaining partners, including the petitioner, is not tenable.
4. This Court is unable to accept the said contention. If the partnership deed contains a recital that among several partners, two partners are the authorized signatories, then that recital binds the other partners as well. The cheque is allegedly signed by authorized signatories.
5. Accordingly, this Court finds no merit in the contention raised by the petitioner. The petition is dismissed.
