Learned counsel appearing for the applicant would contend that the applicant is innocent and he has been falsely implicated. He would submit that the applicant has two criminal antecedents in which one criminal case which was registered in the year 2023 under the provisions of Gambling Act has already been disposed of and another case under the provisions of BNS is pending. He would further submit that the applicant is languishing in jail since 10.06.2026 and charge- sheet has already been filed, therefore, he may be released on regular bail. 4. On the other hand, the learned State counsel would oppose the bail application of present applicant. He would submit that the charge- sheet has already been filed. He would further submit that the applicant has two criminal antecedents, therefore, the bail application deserves to be rejected. 5. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the case diary. 6. Having considered the fact that one criminal case which was registered in the year 2023 under the provisions of Gambling Act has already been disposed of and one criminal case under the provisions of BNS is pending; intermediate quantity of contraband seized from the joint possession of the present applicant and co-accused, charge-sheet has already been filed and the applicant is in jail from 10.06.2026, therefore, without commending anything on the merits of the case, I am inclined to grant regular bail to the present applicant.
