In the present petition, the petitioners are praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to resume/release the provisional pension of the petitioners along with arrears and interest, which has been withheld since October, 2025, without any notice or communication indicating the basis for such withholding. 2. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, on instructions from the petitioners, submits that at this stage, he will be satisfied if a direction is given to respondent No.2 to treat the present writ petition as representation and decide the same, in a time bound manner. 3. Notice of motion. 4. Mr. Rohit Ahuja, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and does not oppose the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioners.
