The substantive prayer made in the petition reads thus: ‘It is, therefore, respectfully prayed that petition may kindly be allowed and the appropriate directions be issued to the Ld. District and Sessions Judge, Amritsar to expedite and conclude the trial of the FIR No. 43 dated 20/05/2018 under Sections 365/364/302/201/120-B of IPC 1860 (Sections 364/302/201/120B IPC added later on (Corresponding Sections 140/103/238/61(2) BNS, 2023) registered at Police Station Tarsikka, District Amritsar Rural (Annexure P-1) in a time bound manner.’ 2. Keeping in view the nature of the prayer made, this Court does not made it appropriate to call upon the respondents for the nonce. 3. Having heard learned counsel for the rival parties and upon perusal of the record, especially keeping in view the fact that the FIR is of the year 2018, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the trial Court to make an earnest endeavour for early conclusion of the trial. 4.
