1. The present contempt application has been filed for initiation of contempt proceeding as against the Opposite Party No.2 alleging wilful violation of the order dated 9th December, 2019 passed by this Court in I.A. Nos.8436 and 11169 of 2019 in W.P.(L) No.4378 of 2019.
2. Mr. Indrajit Sinha, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Opposite Party No.1 while referring to the supplementary show-cause affidavit dated 30th January, 2026 submits that payment of the last salary drawn by the petitioner from the date of filing of the W.P.(L) No.4378 of 2019 i.e., 21st August, 2019 till the date of order dated 9th December, 2019 i.e., Rs.1,08,855/- after deducting the income tax from the gross salary has been made to the petitioner. It is further submitted

that the O.P. No.1 has also made payment of Rs.48,548/- of salary/wages to the petitioner for the period from 31st May, 2024 to 18th July, 2024. So far as the payment of wages under Section 17B of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 for the period from 9th December, 2019 to 30th May, 2024 is concerned, the same has already been made to the petitioner.
3. It is, thus, submitted that the aforesaid order of this Court has now been complied.
4. Mr. Nipun Bakshi, learned counsel for the petitioner accepts the said facts. He, however, submits that the required statutory certificate with respect to the deduction of the amount from the aforesaid payment made to the petitioner should be furnished to him by the O.P. No.1.
5. I find justification in the said submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner.
6. Mr. Sinha, learned counsel for the O.P. No.1 assures that the required statutory certificate shall be furnished to the petitioner within two weeks.
7. Considering the aforesaid submission of the learned counsel for the O.P. No.1, there is no need to proceed further in the present contempt matter. The contempt proceeding as against the Opposite Party No.1 is, hereby, dropped.
8. The contempt application is, accordingly, disposed of.
