For the Informant : Mr. Shahid Khan, Adv. --- 02/24.03.2026 Pursuant to the order dated 10 March, 2026, show cause reply has been filed by the relevant Officers which finds place at paragraph-10 of the said order. The same has been perused and the explanation submitted is accepted. Heard Mrs. Sadhna Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Spl.P.P. assisted by Mr. Shahid Khan, learned counsel appearing for the informant. The prayer for bail of the petitioner was earlier rejected in B.A. No. 6144 of 2025. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that he is in custody since 28.02.2025. It has further been submitted that the petitioner is aged about 71 years. Learned Spl.P.P. assisted by learned counsel appearing for the informant have opposed the prayer for bail of the petitioner. Mr. Shahid Khan, learned counsel for the informant submitted that out of 10 charge-sheet witnesses, 04 witnesses have already been examined. Learned counsel adds that the petitioner has 06 criminal antecedents to which Mrs. Sadhna Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that in three of the cases, he has already been acquitted. 2026:JHHC:8377 Regard being had to the period of custody undergone by the petitioner and the fact that he is aged about 71 years the petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned J.M., 1st Class, Chatra in connection with Hunterganj P.S. Case No. 20 of 2025 subject to the condition that he shall appear before the learned trial court physically on each and every date till the conclusion of the trial unless prevented by any sufficient cause.
