Accused is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.PC with a prayer to quash the entire proceedings in Crime No.67/2022 registered by Udupi Women Police Station, Udupi District, for the offences punishable under Sections 498A, 324, 504, 506 of IPC. 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. It is brought to the notice of this Court that during the pendency of this petition, investigation of the case is completed and charge sheet is filed and the case is now pending before the Court of II Addl. Senior Civil Judge & Addl. CJM, Udupi, in C.C.No.2163/2023. The case status report made available to this Court by the learned Counsel for respondent no.2 would indicate that trial in the case has already commenced in the month of April 2025 itself. The present petition is filed with a prayer to quash the FIR registered in the present case.
