1 CGHC010386222026 2026:CGHC:43149 NAFR HIGH COURT OF CHHATTISGARH AT BILASPUR CRR No. 1350 of 2026 Jyoti Sengupta W/o Shri Deepak Bhattacharya Aged About 29 Years R/o Ward No. 48, Gulab Nagar, Near The Petrol Pump, Mopka, Police Station Sarkanda, Tehsil And Distt- Bilaspur (C.G.) P I N-495006 ... Applicant versus Deepak Bhattacharya S/o Shri Ashok Bhattacharya Aged About 36 Years R/o Devrikhurd, Gada Chowk Near The Shiv Mandir, Torwa Police Station Torwa Tehsil And Distt- Bilaspur (C.G.) P I N-495001 ...Respondent For Applicant : Mr. Vijay K. Deshmukh, Advocate (Hon’ble Shri Justice Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi ) Order on Board 06/10/2026 1. Heard on I.A. No.01/2026, application for condonation of delay in filing the instant revision. 2. On due consideration and for the reasons mentioned in the application, which is well supported by affidavit, same is allowed. Delay of 41 days in filing the revision is condoned. 3. During the course of submission, learned counsel for the applicant seeks permission to this Court to withdraw the instant revision. However, he prays 2 that concerned Family Court be directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest. 4. On due consideration, applicant is permitted to withdraw this revision. 5. The applicant has filed copies of the order-sheets of the Court of the Principal Judge, Family Court, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur (C.G.). On perusal of the said order-sheets, it appears that the learned Family Court has been granting repeated dates for dealing with trivial issues. It further appears from the record that the respondent/husband is an employee of the Railway. The order- sheets further reveal that, on as many as four occasions, the case was fixed for recording the applicant’s evidence; however, despite such opportunities having been granted, applicant has failed to adduce her evidence. 6. Upon bare perusal of the order-sheets, it is apparent that the proceedings have been unnecessarily prolonged without any substantive progress. Accordingly, the Principal Judge, Family Court, Bilaspur, District Bilaspur (C.G.), is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7. With the aforesaid observation/direction, this revision stands disposed of. Sd/- (Naresh Kumar Chandravanshi) Judge Vasant
