GP FOR ENDOWMENTS The Court made the following: 3 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE TARLADA RAJASEKHAR RAO WRIT PETITION No.16883 of 2026 ORDER: The present Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief: “to issue a Writ of Mandamus declaring action of the respondent No.2 in not considering the petitioner’s representation dated 03.06.2026 for not granting exemption from the provisions of Sections 15, 29, 57 and 65 of Andhra Pradesh Charitable and Hindu Religious Institutions and Endowments Act, 1987 to the 3rd respondent institution as per G.O.Ms.No.298, dated 06.07.2023 as illegal, arbitrary, and violative of Articles 14, 21 25 and 26 of Constitution of India.” 2. Heard Sri D.V.Sasidhar, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Endowments appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.1 and 2 and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent No.3. 3. The petitioner herein made a representation dated 03.06.2026 to the respondent authorities pursuant to the G.O. issued by the government vide G.O.Ms.No.298, dated 06.07.2023 exempting the temples having annual income less than Rs.5,00,000/- from the purview of Sections 15, 29, 57 and 65 of the Act 30 of 1987 with certain conditions. 4 4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is of the view that nothing survives keeping the writ petition pending. Hence, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petition, at the admission stage, with the consent of learned Government Pleader for Endowments, directing the 2nd respondent to examine the representation of petitioner dated 03.06.2026 and pass appropriate orders within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
