In the matter of : Lal Mahammad @ Laltu Sk @ Lal Mohammad
… Petitioner(s)
Md. Wasim Akram Ms. Sabrina Parveen
… for the petitioner(s)
Mr. Gouranga Kr. Das, APP Ms. Supriti Sarkhel
… for the State-respondent(s)
Learned advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is innocent and is an Indian citizen who has been foisted with the present criminal case. Mr. Das, learned APP, appears for the State along with a junior of his choice. The appointment of both Mr. Das and the junior of his choice, if any, be regularized by the concerned authority. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail and produces the case diary.
2 From the case diary, it is revealed that there are CDR as well as certain recoveries from the house of the present petitioner. The case diary also reflects the complicity of the present petitioner particularly to the issue of giving shelter. Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail to the present petitioner. Hence, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is Rejected. Accordingly, CRM (A) 890 of 2026 is dismissed. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
