This petition has been filed for initiating proceedings under the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, for alleged wilful disobedience and non-compliance of order dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P-1), passed by the Writ Court in CWP-5428-2026, titled as ‘Ram Niwas vs. Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited and others’. 2. Upon advance copy of the petition having been furnished, learned counsel for the respondents had sought time to file compliance affidavit. 3. On resumed hearing today, compliance affidavit dated 09.09.2026, of Parveen Kumar, Executing Engineer, Operation Division, UHBVN, Beri, has been filed in the Court and appended therewith is speaking order dated 26.05.2026 (Annexure R-2), purported to have been passed in compliance of the aforesaid orders dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure HARISH KUMAR 2026.09.11 19:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment COCP-3842-2026 (2) P-1). The same is taken on record. A copy thereof stands furnished to learned counsel opposite. 4. Learned counsel for the respondent submits that in deference to order dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P-1), not only a speaking order has been passed, but financial benefits arising therefrom have also been paid to the petitioner through three separate cheques, which have been duly received by him. A copy of the cheques and the receipts thereof is appended as Annexure R-3 with the compliance affidavit. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner affirms the aforesaid and submits that since substantial compliance of order dated 23.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) has been made, the grievance of the petitioner does not survive. He, thus, prays that the present petition be disposed of as not pressed. 6. In view of above, the present petition is disposed of as not pressed. 7. Rule stands discharged.
