Mr. Joydeep Biswas Mr. Asraf Mondal, Mr. Kaushik Ghosh ……for the Petitioner. Mr. Koushik Kundu, Mr. Asif Dewan ……for the State. Learned advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that petitioner has been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case for alleged recovery of eight thousand bottles of Phensedyl. Learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for two years three months and out of nine witnesses cited by the prosecution only two witnesses till date has been examined. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that in CRM (NDPS) 623 of 2025 by an order dated 13.08.2025. The Co-ordinate Bench was pleased to grant eight months time for concluding the trial. The said period is yet not over and would be over by 30th April 2025. 2 Having considered that the time period is not over, I am not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. But it is directed that the State would take sincere efforts within that time to conclude the trial. With the aforesaid direction C.R.M. (NDPS) No 75 of 2026 is disposed of. Liberty is granted to the petitioner within this Court after the aforesaid period is over. All parties shall act in terms of server copy of the order downloaded from the official website of this Court.
