Borthakur, learned Addl. P.P. appearing for the State respondent. 2. Invoking 483 of the BNS, the petitioner, namely, Safiqul Islam, seeking Page No.# 2/2 regular bail in connection with Matia P.S. Case No. 06/2026, registered under Section 107 of the BNS, 2023, corresponding to GR Case No.96/2026. 3. The FIR lodged on 02.02.2026 by the mother of the victim/deceased with the allegation that the accused has been harassing her daughter aged 17 years 6 months with proposal of marriage and thereafter, subjected her to continuous pressure and mental distress, and eventually, she committed suicide on 19.01.2026. 4. The case diary has been received. 5. It is submitted by the prosecution that from the statements of witnesses, it is found that these lends support to the alleged offences. 6. It is revealed by the investigation as stated in the case diary, the accused used to chase the girl while she was going to her school also, wrongfully restraining her in public places and causing her continuous mental harassment and he was also harassing her through phone calls and video calls. It is revealed from the case diary that the electronic evidence has been collected and proposed to be forensically examined. It is also revealed from the statements that the accused threatened to viral some private photographs of the victim as well. Investigation is not yet completed. 7.
