The petitioner is seeking regular bail, in connection with Chhattarpur P. S. Case No. 184 of 2025 registered U/S 274, 275, 317(5), 318(4), 338, 336(3), 340(2) read with 3(5) of Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, and U/S 47(a) of the Jharkhand Excise Act, pending in the court of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Palamau. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner happened to be the driver of the truck and the allegations are made that foreign liquors were being carried in the said truck. He also submits that it was the consignment booked by another person and the petitioner is in custody since 13.9.2025. He next submits that the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in para 8 of the petition. 4. Learned counsel appearing for the state opposed the prayer and submits that the petitioner was driving the said vehicle. 5. Considering that the petitioner happened to be the driver, it has been pointed out that the consignment has been booked by some 2026:JHHC:990 2 another person, the petitioner is in custody since 13.9.2025 and the petitioner has got no criminal antecedent as disclosed in para 8 of the petition, I am inclined to grant regular bail. 6. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on regular bail, on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees Twenty-Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Palamau, in connection with Chhattarpur P.
