Ms. Renesa Dey …for the State. 1. Petitioner has filed the present writ application praying for expeditious disposal of the appeal pending before the appellate Tribunal. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has cleared the NEET examination but due to non-availability of domicile certificate, the petitioner has missed her first counseling. The petitioner intending to appear in the second counseling but the authorities are not provided the domicile certificate on the ground that the name of the petitioner has been deleted from the voter list. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner already preferred an appeal before the appellate Tribunal against the deletion of the name of the petitioner from the voter list and prays for expeditious disposal of the appeal filed by the petitioner. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the last date of verification of the document is fixed on September 10, 2026 and she prays for a direction upon the Sub-Divisional Officer for issuance of the temporary 2 domicile certificate till the disposal of the appeal preferred before the appellate Tribunal. 4. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 5. This Court finds that the petitioner has cleared the NEET examination but due to the deletion of the name of the petitioner from the voter list, the authorities are not providing domicile certificate to the petitioner and the last date of verification of the document is fixed on September 10, 2026. 6. In view of the above, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Purba Bardhaman is directed to issue temporary domicile certificate to the petitioner immediately with an undertaking by the petitioner that if the petitioner failed to succeed in the appeal preferred before the appellate Tribunal, the petitioner shall surrender the said domicile certificate within a week from the date of the order of the appellate Tribunal. 7. In view of the above, the Sub-Divisional Officer is directed to provide temporary domicile certificate to the petitioner upon filing an undertaking as mentioned above and the appellate Tribunal is requested to dispose of the appeal as early as possible preferably within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. 8. WPA 24536 of 2026 is disposed of. 9. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all the necessary formalities. (Krishna Rao, J.)
