M/L96 07.09.2026 Bpg. C.R.M. (A) 872 of 2026 In Re: An application for anticipatory bail under Section 482 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 filed in connection with Harishchandrapur Police Station Case No.1156 of 2025 dated 28.10.2025 under Sections 329(3)/115(2)/117(2)/109/3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023; Jamidar @ Jomidar & Ors. Versus The State of West Bengal Mr. Santanu Talukdar Mr. Amanul Islam Mr. Arup Sarkar Mr. Sourav Mukherjee Mr. Gourav Roy. …for the petitioners. Mr. Palash Chandra Podder Mr. Snehasis Banerjee. …for the State. Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and have been falsely implicated in connection with the instant case. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for anticipatory bail. I have taken into account the injury reports as well as the statement of the injured. On an assessment of the same, I find that the injuries were grievous. As such, stitches had to be administered upon two injured persons. 2 Having considered the same, I am of the opinion that this is not a fit case for granting anticipatory bail. As such, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioners in CRM(A)872 of 2026 is dismissed. Memo of Evidence submitted by the State be kept with the record. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
