ORAL ORDER
1. Accused in Crime No.103/2026 registered by Basavapatna Police Station, Davanagere, for the offences punishable under Sections 118(1) and 109 of BNS, 2023, is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 of BNSS, 2023, seeking regular bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.103/2026 was registered by Basavapatna Police Station, Davanagere, for the aforesaid offences against the petitioner herein based on the first information dated 05.07.2026 received from Siddesh, who is the injured victim in the present case. During the course of investigation, petitioner was arrested on 06.07.2026 and remanded to judicial custody. His bail application filed before the jurisdictional Sessions Court in Crl.Misc.No.593/2026 was dismissed on
30.07.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that Siddesh, who is the injured victim in the present case, had

married the daughter of petitioner's elder sister, after they eloped. Subsequently, victim and his wife had returned to the police station in their village on 05.07.2026 along with their Advocate. Petitioner, who is the maternal uncle of the victim's wife allegedly quarreled with the victim in the Police Station and thereafter, assaulted him with a knife. The victim has suffered two injuries on his right hand, which are certified to be grievous injuries. However, the said injuries are not caused on any vital part of victim's body. Petitioner, who is an agriculturalist by avocation, has no other criminal antecedents. He is in custody for the last nearly two months. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, the following order:-
5. The criminal petition is allowed.
The petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail in Crime No.103/2026 registered by Basavapatna Police Station, Davanagere, for the offences punishable under Sections 118(1) and 109 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions:
a) The petitioner shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties for the

likesum, to the satisfaction of the jurisdictional Court;
b) The petitioner shall appear regularly on all the dates of hearing before the Trial Court unless the Trial Court exempts his appearance for valid reasons;
c) The petitioner shall not directly or indirectly threaten or tamper with the prosecution witnesses;
d) The petitioner shall not involve in similar offences in future. e) The petitioner shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Trial Court without permission of the said Court until the case registered against him is
disposed off.
