Mrs. Shivangi Gangwar, learned counsel for the petitioners. 2. Mr. G.S. Sandhu, learned Additional Advocate General with Mr. Tumul Nainwal, learned A.G.A. and Mr. Vijay Khanduri with Mrs. Sweta Badola Dobhal, learned Brief Holders for the State. 3. The petitioners ‘Shyama Khanam’ and Mr. ‘Vaseem Khan’ are praying for the following relief: i. To issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no. 2 and 3 to give police protection to the petitioners. 4. It is contended that both the petitioners are major and they married on 16.03.2026 and the certificate of Nikaah is also placed on record as Annexure-2. With regard to the age proof the Aadhar card have been enclosed. 5. No doubt there is age difference of 20 years in between both of them but admittedly both of them are major and they married with each other. 6. It is contended that there is threat perception from respondent nos. 4 to 7, who are in fact the family members of the petitioner no. 1. The respondent no. 4 is the father and respondent nos. 5 to 7 are the brothers of petitioner no. 1. It is contended that the petitioners approached to the S.S.P., Udham Singh Nagar for protection and their safely since there is threat perception from respondent nos. 4 to 7. 7. Mr. G.S. Sandhu have not disputed about the age since Aadhar card is enclosed. Since the petitioners already approached to the S.S.P., Udham Singh Nagar, let the S.S.P. may assess the threat perception of the petitioners from respondent nos. 4 to 7 and if he comes to the conclusion that there is any threat perception, make proper arrangement for their safety. 2026:UHC:1939 8. In addition to this, the S.H.O. concerned also assess any threat perception and then apprise to the S.S.P. also and in addition to this he shall call upon the respondent nos. 4 to 7 or to contact them through the S.H.O. concerned since all of them are the resident of U.P. and advise them not to take law in their hands. 9.
