The report filed by the respondent authorities, be kept with the record. 2. As it appears from the report, except for one person on the panel, placed at serial number 2, there is not much of a dispute insofar as the eligibility of the other five candidates on the panel is concerned. 3. The petitioners featured at serial numbers 1 and 5 of such panel. 4. As it also appears from the report, the person situated at serial number 2 is the only reason why the entire panel has been held up, without any ostensible ground against any of the other panel members. 5. In view of the aforesaid, the respondent number 6 is directed to consider the appointment of the other panel members, including the petitioners herein, to the post of Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology. 6. The petitioners will also be entitled to get back wages from the date of issuance of the notice on March 12, 2026, till the actual date of appointment. P a g e | 2 7. Furthermore, the respondent number 6 is directed to grant notional benefits to the appointment of the petitioners with effect from March 12, 2026, along with length of service and seniority. 8. The aforesaid directives shall be complied with by October 31, 2026. 9. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs. (Reetobroto Kumar Mitra, J.)
