The petitioner is a Bengali typist under the Zilla Parishad and has assailed the order issued by the Additional District Magistrate and Additional Executive Officer, South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad on August 19, 2025 directing his transfer to the Zilla Parishad, Sagar Inspection Bunglow, Gangasagar. This Court is informed that the petitioner could not join the said posting since he was not released from his present posting. Learned counsel for the Zilla Parishad submits, on instruction, that the petitioner and one Sandip Kumar Naskar were transferred temporarily to Sagar Inspection Bunglow for the purpose of Gangasagar Mela. Since the mela is over, their transfer to the said place is no longer required and the petitioner may continue in his present posting. In view of such changed circumstance, the order dated August 19, 2025 passed by the Additional District Magistrate and Additional Executive Officer, South 24 Parganas Zilla Parishad has become redundant. Nothing further remains to be dealt with in the writ petition. The same is accordingly disposed of. There shall, however, be no order as to costs.
