Page No.# 2/3 BEFORE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE DEVASHIS BARUAH ORDER Date : 07.04.2026 Heard Mr. P. K. Deka, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Petitioners. 2. This is an application filed alleging willful and deliberate violation to the order dated 08.04.2025 passed in WP(C) No.4145/2021. 3. From a perusal of the said order, it is seen that the learned Co-ordinate Bench of this Court had disposed of the said writ petition specifically directing that if the settlement is not arrived at or not concluded within a period of 3 (three) months from the date of receipt of the said order, the Bakijai proceedings shall continue. 4. It is the case of the Petitioners that the settlement have not been arrived at or concluded. If that be so, the Bakijai proceedings would continue. As nothing has been produced before this Court to show that the Bakijai proceedings is still stalled, this Court does not find the present case to be a fit case for issuance of notice in the instant contempt application. 5. Accordingly, the instant contempt application stands rejected. Page No.# 3/3 6. Before parting with the records, this Court however observes that the rejection of the instant contempt application shall not prejudice or preclude the Petitioners from approaching the Bakijai Officer, if so advised.
