Learned AGA accepts notice for the respondents. 2. The petitioner – detenu – Surya Akash T (CTP No.11405) is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: i) Issue a writ order or direction in the nature of mandamus to the Respondents to extend the general parole to Convict Prisoner No. 11405 Surya Akash T @ Surya for another 30 days. ii) Pass any other orders/directions considering the facts and circumstances of the case, together as to costs in the interest of justice and equity. 3. The above petition being for extension of parole, it would be for the petitioner/detenu to surrender to the jail authorities and thereafter make necessary - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010591092026 NC: 2026:KHC:46279 WP No. 26747 of 2026 application for grant of fresh parole after the cooling- off period i.e., there has to be a gap of six months between the grant of subsequent parole and the earlier parole.
