Also heard Mr. P S Lahkar, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the State of Assam. 2. This application has been filed under Section 430 of the BNSS, 2023 praying for suspension of sentence and for allowing the applicant to go on bail. 3. I have gone through the impugned judgment. I have also gone through the evidence of the witnesses. 4. This Court is of the opinion that at this stage, the prayer of the applicant needs to be accepted. 5. Therefore, it is hereby directed that the sentence imposed upon the applicant Subhendu Das by the learned Additional Sessions Judge (FTC), Cachar, Silchar in Sessions Case No.160/2017 shall remain suspended till disposal of the connected appeal. 6. The applicant Subhendu Das shall be released on bail of ₹25,000/- with a surety of like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge (FTC), Cachar, Silchar.
