PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: ORDER: This Criminal Petition under Sections 480 and 483 of Bharatiyana Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS.’), has been filed by the Petitioners / Accused Nos.1 and 2, seeking regular bail in connection with Crime No.42 of 2026 of Parvathipuram Town Police Station, Parvathipuram Manyam District, registered for the offence under 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 2 Section 8(c) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (for short ‘NDPS Act’). 2. Heard Sri Dasari Ramakoteswar Rao, learned counsel for the Petitioners and Ms.K.Priyanka Lakshmi, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the Respondent/State. 3. None represented for the Petitioners. Since this is an application seeking regular bail, this Court is inclined to proceed with the matter and pass appropriate orders. 4. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor would submit that the statutory period is not over, though it is not a commercial quantity. It is further submitted that the investigation is not yet completed and charge sheet is not filed. It is contended that the Petitioners involved in another case. 5. Having regard to the stage of investigation, the nature of allegations, and the submissions made by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor, this Court is not inclined to grant regular bail to the Petitioners at this juncture. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
