1. The petitioner, through the medium of present petition, has sought a direction upon the respondents to issue appointment order in her favour in respect of the post of Anganwadi Worker, Mehari Gujjran-A ward No.1 Tehsil and District Rajouri.

As per the case of the petitioner, she had applied for the post of Anganwadi Worker for the aforesaid Anganwadi Centre in pursuance of advertisement notice No.01 of 2016 dated 02.01.2026 and after undergoing the selection process, the petitioner was provisionally selected in terms of tentative selection list dated 16.02.2026.
3. According to the petitioner, after the conclusion of the selection process, the respondents are proposing to permit respondent No.6 to introduce documents which she had not produced during the selection process. It has been Serial No. 135

contended that as per conditions No.3 & 4 of Clause ‘D’ of advertisement notice, the documents are required to be introduced by a candidate at the time of document verification and that educational qualifications, residential status etc., acquired after the cut-off date cannot be entertained but the respondents are proposing to permit the private respondent to introduce documents at this stage, thereby defeating the right of the petitioner.

5. Ms. Palvi Sharma, Advocate vice Mr. Ravinder Gupta, AAG accepts notice on behalf of respondents No.1, 2, 4 & 5.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner would feel satisfied if a direction is issued to the respondents to conclude the selection process strictly in terms of guidelines or rules governing the field, particularly, conditions No. (3) & (4) of Clause ‘D’ of the advertisement notice within a specified period.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of with a direction to take further necessary action towards the appointment of Anganwadi Worker for Anganwadi Centre Mehari Gujjran-A ward No.1 in pursuance to selection process which has already been initiated, strictly adhering to the rules and the conditions of the advertisement notice, particularly, conditions No. (3) & (4) of Clause ‘D’ of the said notice. The entire exercise shall be concluded by the respondents most expeditiously, preferably within a

period of two months from the date of copy of this order made available to the respondents.
