Heard Ms. G. Borah, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner.
2. The present writ petition has been filed alleging anomalies in the election to the post of the General Secretary in the 45th General Election of the Assam High School Teachers Association.
3. This Court enquired with the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as to how a writ proceedings can be initiated in respect to an election of an Association. The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be well advised to approach the appropriate Civil Court seeking appropriate declaration for nullifying the election of the respondent No.6 to the post of General Secretary of Assam High School Teachers Association.
4. Taking into account the above, the instant writ petition stands closed on withdrawal. The withdrawal of the instant writ petition by
Page No.# 3/3 the petitioner shall not preclude or prejudice the petitioner to avail remedies before the competent Court of civil jurisdiction.
