Accused in Crime No.396 of 2026 registered by Mahadevapura Police Station, Bengaluru City for offences punishable under Sections 79, 109, 351(2), 352 r/w Section 3(5) of BNS, 2023 is before this Court in this petition filed under Section 483 BNSS, 2023 seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.396 of 2026 was registered by Mahadevapura Police Station, Bengaluru City for the aforesaid offences against two unknown persons, based on the first information dated 16.07.2026, received from Smt. Pooja G, wife of the injured victim. Apprehending arrest in the case, petitioner had filed Crl.Misc.No.25646 of 2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court, which was rejected on 27.07.2026. Therefore, he is before this Court. 4. A reading of the first information dated 16.07.2026 would go to show that, on 15.07.2026 at about 05.20 p.m., the first informant and her husband Karthik, who is the injured - 3 - HC-KAR CNR: KAHC010538062026 NC: 2026:KHC:47278 CRL.P No. 11750 of 2026 victim in the present case were travelling in the autorikshaw belonging to one Punith. It is alleged that, accused persons came in a motorbike, teased the first informant and when her husband questioned, the accused allegedly abused him and assaulted him with a dragger causing grievous injuries. In the first information, the registration number of the motorbike in which the accused had arrived is mentioned. 5. Wound certificate of the injured victim would go to show that in the incident in question he has suffered grievous injuries. Allegation against the accused is that he had teased the first informant, who is the wife of the injured victim and when the same was questioned, he assaulted the injured victim with a deadly weapon causing grievous injuries. Under the circumstances, I am of the opinion that prayer made by the petitioner cannot be entertained. 6. Accordingly, criminal petition is dismissed.
